CPF contributions are not payable on the team-based awards as such awards would not be remuneration due or granted in respect of an individual’s employment.

However, CPF contributions are payable on the awards if they are payable to a single employee or where you have the discretion on the amount payable to each team member, e.g. you stipulate that the cash award is payable to a particular employee or have discretion on how the award is divided amongst the team members (e.g. the one with higher contributions obtains higher quantum).
