Why is there a 12-hour cooling period?

Updated by CPF
The 12-hour cooling period is a safeguard that provides members sufficient time to take action to prevent any unauthorised adjustments to the CPF online Daily Withdrawal Limit, or changes to important personal information and bank account details from taking effect. The 12-hour duration is aligned with industry practice.

To minimise any delays when making withdrawals, we advise you to plan ahead and regularly ensure that your bank account and contact details are updated with the Board.
