I received an anonymous call claiming that I can sign up for a new CPF Scheme that allows me to withdraw my CPF savings, and the caller offered to meet me to sign an application form. Is it a scam?
Yes, it is a scam. CPF Board officers will not solicit sign-ups for CPF Schemes which involve the withdrawal of CPF savings. Members who wish to perform transactions with the Board should use my cpf digital services instead.
In the unfortunate event that you fall prey to a scam, we recommend taking the following actions immediately:
- Alert your bank to freeze the affected bank account.
- Reset your Singpass password if you think your Singpass has been compromised. For further assistance, please contact the official Singpass 24/7 helpdesk at 6335 3533.
- If you are 55 and above, activate the CPF Withdrawal Lock under Account settings to disable online CPF withdrawals instantly.
- File a police report and provide all details.
