Why must CPF savings withdrawn for education be repaid with interest?
The primary objective of CPF savings is to help members save for their retirement needs. The amount withdrawn for education and the accrued interest must be repaid to the CPF member's Ordinary Account. This is so that the member would not lose out on the interest that he/she would have earned had the monies not been withdrawn for education purposes.
