How do I make a repayment under the CPF Education Loan Scheme?
Repayments can be made via GIRO or PayNow. We encourage students (borrowers) to apply for GIRO to avoid missed repayments. Please refer to the eGIRO participating banks and GIRO deduction dates for more information.
Apply for GIRO Online (highly recommended for quicker processing and for monthly instalments)
1. Log in with your Singpass (only for students).
2. Apply via “Set up GIRO for education loan repayments”.
*Check the GIRO application status under the ‘Activities’ page.
For repayment under GIRO, only full instalments or remaining outstanding amounts (if outstanding loan is less than monthly instalment) will be accepted.
Alternatively, students and members (lenders) can make repayments either in a lump sum or monthly instalments through "Manage Education Loan Repayments" via their Singpass.
Please note that making a partial lump sum repayment does not replace the regular monthly repayments. Therefore, ensure that regular monthly repayments are made at least three working days before the end of the month to allow for sufficient processing time.
