When can I expect to receive my CPF savings upon account closure?

The time taken to receive your CPF savings depends on the type of application submitted.
 
Type of application Normal Processing Time 
Online applications (for Malaysians only)Six weeks from the point of submission but may take longer if additional supporting documents are required. 

Other application mode:

  • by post
  • at the CPF Service Centre
  • via Write to Us 

12 weeks from receipt of all documents.  

Please note that this excludes the time taken to transfer your CPF savings to your bank account, which depends on the payment mode: 

  1. Bank transfer via Interbank GIRO to a bank account in Singapore: Two working days;
  2. Telegraphic transfer: Five to 12 working days
To keep your savings safe, CPF Board carefully checks every application, especially for those without Singpass to ensure that the CPF savings are disbursed correctly.
 
We are working hard to process your application, so please wait at least three months from your application date before checking with us on your application status. This helps us focus our efforts on processing the applications received. We seek your understanding that we may not be responding to any enquiries prior to that.
