How is Special Needs Savings Scheme different from CPF nomination?
Unlike a CPF nomination, where the member’s CPF savings are distributed in one lump sum, CPF savings under Special Needs Savings Scheme will be distributed to the nominee on a monthly basis, based on the amount specified by the CPF member, until the bequeathed savings run out.
This enables parents to set aside CPF savings for the long term care of children with special needs.
