My nominees have changed their personal particulars (e.g. names, addresses or passport numbers). Do I need to update the changes in my CPF nomination?
If your nominee is a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
You do not need to update the changes in your CPF nomination.
For name changes, the Board will request your nominee to present document(s) e.g. Deed Poll, as proof of their name change when they apply to withdraw the CPF monies after your demise.
If your nominee is a foreigner
You should make a new CPF nomination with their latest particulars. This will help us identify and contact your nominee easily to distribute your CPF savings.
We also encourage CPF members to indicate the NRIC equivalent of their nominee’s home country in their nomination. This is because passports do expire and nominees may not retain possession of their expired passports when they apply to withdraw a deceased member’s CPF savings.
