How do I stop the MediShield Life premium payment for a dependant's premium?

Updated by CPF
As the current premium payer, you can submit a Stop Payment for MediShield Life request to stop paying MediShield Life premiums for your dependant. Once your request has been approved, your dependant will automatically take over paying his/her own premium from the next policy year. The dependant does not need to submit the stop payment request.

If your dependant is a child under 21 years old, you will not be able to submit an online stop payment request unless the child has sufficient savings in his/her MediSave Account, or another family member takes over the premium payment. Parents remain responsible for their children's MediShield Life premiums until they turn 21 years old. If you have been discharged from the liability of maintaining your child after your divorce, please write to us and provide the relevant court documents.
