If I have renounced my citizenship, will interest and penalty still be imposed on my outstanding MediShield Life premiums?
You need to pay your MediShield Life premiums incurred prior to your renouncement date of your citizenship. If your premiums remain outstanding, compounded interest of 4% and penalties of up to 17% will be imposed and enforcement actions will be taken.
