MediShield Life is a health insurance scheme. It works by pooling financial resources from individuals in similar age cohorts to protect us from large hospital bills. Large hospital bills are rare, but the cost can be very high for those among us who fall seriously ill. Through MediShield Life, we can each pay a small amount yearly to not have to worry about a large bill if we are hospitalised.
