I have renounced my Singapore Citizenship/Permanent Resident status, what will happen to my MediShield Life cover?
When MediShield was replaced by MediShield Life, the Government had given concession to a small number of foreigners with MediShield cover to continue their coverage under MediShield Life.
With the closure of CPF accounts for all foreigners on 1 April 2024, you will continue to be covered under MediShield Life as long as you continue to pay your premiums.
If you are using your own MediSave Account to pay the premiums and no alternative payment arrangements are made, your MediShield Life cover will lapse.
