Are there any medical expenses that Flexi-MediSave cannot be used for?
Flexi-MediSave aims to help elderly patients reduce their cash payment, with the focus on outpatient medical treatment.
It cannot be used for treatments that are for non-medical purposes, such as those for cosmetic or lifestyle purposes (e.g. hair loss, slimming, and erectile dysfunction). It also cannot be used to pay for items from the retail pharmacies, such as skincare products. Non-medical charges such as administrative fees are also not covered.
Flexi-MediSave cannot be used for admissions to the Accident and Emergency department and cancer drug treatments using cancer drugs that are not on the Cancer Drug List.
This information is sourced from CPF.
