What will happen to my Home Protection Scheme exemption if my private insurance policy used for the exemption is discontinued or altered?

If you have been exempted from the Home Protection Scheme (HPS) using a private insurance policy, the exemption will no longer be valid once your insurer informs us that the policy has been discontinued or altered.

In such cases, we will automatically issue an HPS cover to you based on the declared percentage you are exempted for, subject to your eligibility for an HPS cover.

Once the HPS cover is issued, you will receive an HPS certificate, containing the details of your HPS cover.
