Can I use my CPF savings to buy a SOHO (Small Office Home Office) unit?

CPF savings can only be used to buy residential properties. It is important to note that Small Office Home Office (SOHO) developments are approved by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) for either office or residential use, but not for both.

You may use your CPF savings to purchase a SOHO unit if URA has approved it for residential use. However, if the unit is approved for office use, your CPF savings cannot be used for its purchase. Therefore, you are advised to check the approved use of the property before committing to any purchase.
