Do I have to refund the housing grant to my CPF account upon sale of my property?
Yes, you must refund the principal CPF withdrawn for your property (including the CPF Housing Grant) plus its accrued interest to your CPF account when you sell your property.
How housing grants are refunded
The housing grant will generally be refunded to your Ordinary Account. However, if you have received more than $30,000 in housing grants, part of it may be credited to your Special Account/Retirement Account and MediSave Account.
You can check the exact amount that will be credited to your Special/Retirement Account and MediSave Account by viewing your Home ownership dashboard.
Using your refunded savings
These refunded savings can be used for approved purposes under various CPF schemes to help you with your retirement and healthcare needs.
