Does my son need to have been offered Higher Chinese in PSLE (as a prerequisite) to apply for any of the DSA-Sec (IP) categories?
To be shortlisted for any CHS DSA-Sec (IP) categories, your son must be assessed to qualify to offer HCL in IP Years 1 and 2, even though he may not be offering HCL in PSLE. For example, he should have consistently good P5 and P6 CL results that indicate he has a strong language foundation to offer HCL in Years 1 and 2.
