What is the validity period of the professional pilot licence?

Updated by CAAS

The maximum validity of the licence corresponds with the holder's age and type of operation, as follows:

  • 6 months if the licence holder is:

    • = 40 years old and is engaged in single-crew public transport of passengers; or

    • = 60 years old.

  • 12 months for any other case

The validity of a professional pilot licence starts from the date of issue or renewal of the applicant's Class 1 Medical Assessment, whichever is earlier.
