If a referral is urgent, you need to mark the referral as urgent and provide reasons for its urgency.

These services can be marked as urgent:

1. Home Nursing

2. Meals on Wheels

3. Enhanced Home Personal Care

4. Dementia Day Care

Head to the "Services" tab in the referral form. Under the service details, indicate "Yes" for the question "Is this an urgent case?" and provide reasons for its urgency.

Once the referral has been submitted, AIC will evaluate the urgency of the referral. If approved, the referral can be assigned to a service provider without the need of an InterRAI assessment.
