Will my child/ward continue to be offered SBB in a subject offered throughout his/her stay with the school?
Students offered SBB are encouraged to continue with SBB until the end of Secondary 2 regardless of the grades achieved, as it takes time for students to adjust to the higher level of rigour.
At the end of Secondary 2, SBB students who meet the criteria will continue to be offered SBB at upper secondary level by the school. In consultation with their subject teachers and a review of their examination results, students and their parents can also make the final decision to continue or drop the subject, as long as they are aware of the possible impact in terms of post-secondary progression.
