Updated by ANDSS

Leadership development is an integral part of the Anderson student experience, and students have many opportunities during their four or five years with us to make a difference for the greater good as leaders. Every year, our Sec 3 student leaders are given the opportunity to participate in an overseas trip to hone their leadership competencies.

The leadership opportunities available in ANDSS are as follows:

  • Anderson Student Council: leading school-wide events and representing student voice.

  • Other leadership roles: CCA leaders, Heritage & Citizenship Education ambassadors, Class Committees, Peer Support Leaders, Digital Literacy Ambassadors, and Health Leaders.

  • Student Leaders’ Congress: platforms where students propose ideas and engage school leaders on changes to benefit their peers.

  • VIA (Values-in-Action): student-designed projects that meet community needs.
