Care recipient’s status

He/ she must be a member of the Pioneer Generation.

To check on his/ her Pioneer Generation status, you can consider using the following:

• LifeSG App: Pioneers can view their Pioneer Generation (PG) e-card after logging in.

• Singpass Mobile App: Seniors may log in here to view their eligibility status.

The apps can be download via Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Care recipient’s residence

He/ she must be living in Singapore.

Care recipient’s needs

For care recipients with physical disabilities

He/ she must:

• Permanently require some assistance with at least three of the six activities of daily living. The six activities are:

  

• Undergo disability assessment.

  • This must be done by a General Practitioner (GP) or an approved healthcare professional using a Functional Assessment Report (FAR).

  • Find out how to book an appointment to do the FAR.

  • You will need to pay the assessment fee, if any. The cost may vary so do check with your healthcare professional.

    If he/ she lacks mental capacity

  • Find out more about applying on behalf of someone who lacks capacity.
    
    For those currently applying for severe disability schemes

  • You do not need to complete the FAR if you are currently applying for:

    • IDAPE

    • ElderFund

    • ElderShield

    • CareShield Life

    • MediSave Care

    The severe disability assessment done by the MOH-accredited severe disability assessor is enough to assess your level of disability for PioneerDAS. This way, you do not need to pay 2 separate assessment fees.
