If approved, SMF will fund up to 80% of the cost of the home healthcare item, up to the maximum subsidy cap per financial year (1 April to 31 March).

The amount of subsidy you receive will depend on your means-test result. This means there will be an amount you will need to co-pay for your device.

Please make sure that your SMF application for the home healthcare item is approved before you purchase it. Purchases made in advance cannot be reimbursed under SMF as subsidies are only provided through an approved application.

After you submit your application, we may take up to three weeks to process it. You will be informed about the outcome in writing via mail. Do note that the processing time may take longer if your submission is incomplete.
