What are the mobility and assistive devices covered under SMF? What is the device lifespan I need to take note of if I am applying for a replacement?

Here is the list of devices covered under SMF, and their device blackout periods (ie a defined period of time before it can be replaced).

If you are applying for a subsidy to replace your SMF device that has been worn out, do note that:

  • Not all the items above are currently covered by SMF for replacement.

  • If your device is eligible, the item must have met the device blackout period (BOP). There are different BOPs for different categories.
