How should I (client) or my family arrange for care needs that fall outside the scope of the Shared Stay-in Senior Caregiving Services (Stay-in SCS)?
The Stay-in SCS requires the involvement and cooperation of family members that can actively participate in caregiving decisions for their elderly, or seniors who are capable of making caregiving decisions independently.
Support and intervention required by the senior that fall outside the scope of service should be planned for as if the senior was living at home. For example, if the senior requires regular wound management, the family can make arrangements for the senior to visit a facility that offers such services or for a relevant healthcare professional and/or licensed healthcare service provider to provide home medical and nursing services as required.
You can contact your selected Stay-in SCS provider to discuss the arrangement for a relevant healthcare professional and/or licensed healthcare service provider to layer on additional service required by the senior, that fall outside the scope of the Stay-in SCS.
