Why am I not allowed to make a withdrawal under MediSave Care to meet the long term care needs of my parent?

The Government recognises and encourages family members to support one another in healthcare and long-term care. Hence, Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are already allowed to use immediate family members’ MediSave Account for hospital expenses and premium payments of MediShield Life, ElderShield and CareShield Life.
