What are the eligibility criteria for Home Caregiving Scheme (HCG)

There are a few criteria your loved one will need to meet to qualify for HCG.

 

Criteria

Description

Care recipient's nationality

He/ she must be a:

  • Singapore Citizen OR

  • PR (with a parent, child or spouse who is a Singapore Citizen).

Care recipient's residence

He/ she must:

Care recipient's household income

He/ she must meet the means-test criteria for HCG:

Care recipient's needs

He/ she must:

  • Permanently requires some assistance with at least three of the six activities of daily living. The six activities are:

    ADLs


Note: There is no age limit for the Home Caregiving Grant (HCG). 

How the scheme works

The grant amount depends on your monthly household income per person as well as the number of properties owned. 

Monthly household income per person

Payout

$0 – $1,500
(or AV ≤ $21,000 for households without income)

$400*

$1,501 – $3,600

$250

* If you own multiple properties, you will receive the lower tier of $250 per month.
