If senior is in a nursing home, can I still apply for Home Caregiving Grant Scheme (HCG)?

The new Home Caregiving Grant is intended to support lower- to middle-income households to care for their disabled loved ones in the community, to support ageing in place and delay institutionalisation.
Seniors, who are being taken care of in Nursing Homes will thus, not be eligible for this grant. Nonetheless, they may be eligible for means-tested Government subsidies for their nursing home fees and will not be eligible for this Home Caregiving Grant.
