What is Nursing Home Respite Care (NHRC)?

The Nursing Home Respite Care (NHRC) service offers subsidized nursing home respite care which gives the caregiver temporary reliefs while their loved ones is cared for in a nursing home. This service can also help families that rely on Migrant domestic workers caring for a care recipient when the worker takes leave to go back to her home country. The minimum period per stay is 7 days. Eligible caregivers could receive a maximum of up to 30 days subsidized nursing home respite care per calendar year (including admission and discharge date).
