What are the eligibility criteria for Seniors' Mobility and Enabling Fund (SMF) Motorised Devices subsidy

Seniors applying for the Seniors' Mobility and Enabling Fund (SMF) Assistive Devices subsidy must meet the following conditions:

1. They must be a Singapore citizen aged 60 and older.

2. Their household monthly income per person is $2,000 and below, OR Annual Value (AV) of residence reflected on NRIC of $13,000 and below for households with no income.

3. They must not reside in a nursing home.

4. They must be assessed by a qualified assessor (such as a fully registered therapist, registered nurse, doctor and optometrist and certified audiologist) on the type of devices required.

5. This must be the first time they are making claims for the device category.

6. Motorised devices - additional criteria

   a) They must not have a full time caregiver, or the caregiver is frail and not able to support the care needs

   b) They must not have the ability to use a manual wheelchair independently

   c) They must be mentally and physically able to safely use the motorised device
