How do I know if I'm eligible for Seniors' Mobility and Enabling Fund (SMF) Home Healthcare Items (Consumables) subsidy?

Seniors applying for the Seniors' Mobility and Enabling Fund (SMF) Consumables subsidy must meet the following conditions:

Criteria

Description

Care recipient’s nationality

  • He/ she must be a Singapore Citizen* aged 60 or older.

    * From April 2026, PRs can also apply for SMF for home healthcare items.

Care recipient’s age

  • He/ she must be aged 60 or older.

Care recipient’s residence

  • He/ she must not live in a nursing home or MSF home.

Care recipient’s needs

He/ she must:

Care recipient’s household income

He/ she must meet the mean-test criteria for SMF:

Care recipient must be a first-time applicant

He/ she must not be receiving subsidies already for the same items.

If there are changes to the type of home healthcare items required, please approach your home care provider.
