How the Caregiver Training Grant (CTG) works?
Eligible care recipients will start with a CTG amount of $400 in the first year they tap on the grant. On 1 April each year, care recipients will receive a $200 top-up. The CTG balance from the previous financial year (1 April to 31 March) can be carried forward, with the total CTG amount capped at $400.
When caregivers attend approved courses, the course fees will be deducted from the care recipient’s CTG balance. For each course the caregiver attends, there is a co-payment of least $10*, depending on the CTG balance available.
*Some courses may allow you to tap on SkillsFuture Credit for co-payment.
