Updated by AHPC

The QE ensures that overseas-trained allied health professionals, whose basic professional qualifications are not found on the list of recognised qualifications, meet Singapore's healthcare standards and requirements.

The AHPC's primary role is to protect public interest by regulating professional standards, conduct, and ethics of allied health professionals in Singapore. Since each country operates under its own regulatory framework with distinct standards and requirements, the QE sets the standard that overseas-trained practitioners are required to meet in order to work effectively within Singapore's healthcare context.

This examination is mandatory for all applicants whose qualifications are not found on the list of recognised qualifications.
