- There is no need for the applicant to be physically present in Singapore whilst the application is in process. Nevertheless, there may be instances where you and/or your sponsor may be required to attend an interview or submit additional documents during the processing of LTVP.

Can I remain in Singapore while my Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) application is being considered?
You may apply for an extension of stay through the e-Service, 14 days or less before the short-term visit pass expires. Your application for an extension of stay is subjected to approval. If your extension of stay application is unsuccessful, you will not be allowed to remain in Singapore after the expiry of your short-term visit pass even if you have an LTVP application in process.

Your sponsor can login to ICA e-Service using his or her Singpass to submit the LTVP renewal application for you.
How do I extend my stay if my current LTVP is expiring and my LTVP renewal is still pending?
If the renewal of your Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) application is in process and your current LTVP is expiring, you will receive an email notification on the auto-conversation of your LTVP to a Short-Term Visit Pass (STVP).
If you did not receive any notification from ICA during the renewal application process, you and your sponsor can report to Visitor Services Centre, Level 4, ICA Building, on Mondays to Fridays between 8am and 4pm, for the conversion of your current LTVP to STVP before your LTVP expires.

You may wish to check if you have keyed in the correct passport details at the Travel Document Details field.
If the validity of your passport is indeed less than six months, you will need to apply for a new passport.
You can then apply for the renewal of LTVP after the new passport is issued. If your LTVP is expiring, you may report to Level 4 ICA Building to seek a valid stay to remain in Singapore. You may seek online extension if your pass has already been cancelled, with Disembarkation (DE) card number issued.

If I submit an application for Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) renewal early (e.g. six months before expiry), will the remaining validity of my current LTVP be added to my new LTVP?
There is no restriction on how early a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) holder can submit the LTVP renewal application. However, the remaining validity of your current LTVP will not be added to the validity of your new LTVP. You can submit your LTVP renewal application two to three months before expiry of the current LTVP.For applicants who are exempted from visiting ICA building to complete the formalities for the LTVP issuance, the issuance date will follow the payment date of the LTVP issuance fee.
When can I renew my Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP)?
You may wish to submit your Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) renewal application two to three months before the expiry of your current LTVP. The processing time is up to six weeks.Please be informed that the validity of the new LTVP to be issued will be based on the date of issuance and its approved period, and not as a continuation from the validity of the current LTVP.
Can I change sponsorship for LTVP?
No change of sponsorship is allowed for the following LTVP schemes: • Spouse of a Singapore citizen • Spouse of a Singapore Permanent Resident The new sponsor may log in to his/her Singpass to submit the renewal applications for the following LTVP schemes: • Unmarried child (aged under 21) born within the context of a legal marriage to, or have been legally adopted by a Singapore citizen/Singapore Permanent Resident • Parent of a Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident • Mother or Grandmother of a child or grandchild studying in Singapore on a student's pass
Can I retrieve and amend my LTVP application if I had submitted wrong information earlier?
Applicants will be prompted to confirm their personal particulars before submitting their application in e-Service. Applicants will not be able to make further changes to the details submitted once the application is submitted successfully.Can I save my Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) application as draft and continue later if I do not have my supporting documents?
You may save your LTVP application as draft. The LTVP draft will be available for retrieval within seven days from date of creation via MyICA. The draft will be removed after seven days from date of creation.
Can I submit another Long-Term Visit Pass application if my earlier application was rejected?
You should only submit another Long-Term Visit Pass application for ICA's consideration if there is any change in your circumstances from your previous application(s).Can I submit the Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) applications for both my parents concurrently?
If you have created the LTVP application for one of your parents, the processing fee of $45 has to be paid before you are able to proceed with the LTVP submission for the other parent.
Do I have to cancel my LTVP if I applied for other long term pass e.g. Student's Pass or work pass?
You need not cancel the LTVP. The LTVP will be automatically cancelled upon issuance of the Student's Pass/Work Passes. You will be issued with only one valid pass in Singapore at any point of time.
