We encourage trainees to complete their SCTP course within the stipulated timeframe. If a trainee needs to defer their SCTP course due to exigencies, deferments will count towards a trainee’s attendance only if they are completed within the stipulated timeframe:

• Deferment of entire SCTP course bundle: Original course bundle enrolment and training allowance application will be cancelled; the individual is to resubmit their training allowance application and be treated as a new SCTP enrolment.
• Module deferments within the original SCTP bundle’s course start and end date: Training allowance will be paid if the trainee fulfils the attendance requirements for the deferred module, together with the rest of the module within that month(s).
• Module deferments beyond original course start and end date: No training allowance will be paid.
