I filed an application for personal protection order (PPO) against my family member. My family member informed me that he consents to a PPO being granted against him. Do we still need to go through trial?

If your family member admits partially or fully to the allegations and consents to the PPO application, the court needs to be satisfied that family violence is committed, and the order is necessary for your protection and safety before a PPO will be issued. You and your family member will not be required to go through a hearing.
