How does the ScamShield app work?
Note: The enhanced ScamShield app is currently on a phased rollout. If you are an iOS user, you should be able to go to App Store to update your app to the latest version. If you are an Android user, you should get the update within a week as PlayStore gradually rolls out the update to all ScamShield users.
ScamShield collaborates with agencies working to combat scams. Together we build a robust algorithm that validates if a message, call or link could potentially be a scam. ScamShield also allows users to submit scam reports that will be sent to the Singapore Police Force. If the information in the scam report is deemed suspicious by the police, ScamShield will block the associated phone numbers and links.
