Once both donor and CI have digitally signed on the LPA form, no amendments can be made. This is a safeguard to prevent tampering and alteration of the digital LPA. However, we wish to assure that this does not affect the validity of the LPA, and would not affect the donees’ transactions with third party agencies in future should you lose mental capacity. Our internal records will be updated to reflect the correct information and third parties may seek verification from us if they wish.
