Enrolment process

From 1 July 2024, all parents eligible for the Baby Bonus Scheme can now go to LifeSG mobile app/website as the single seamless touchpoint to apply for the benefits.

Here's how:

• For newborns, enrol for Baby Bonus benefits during birth registration on LifeSG at https://www.life.gov.sg/services/birth-registration

• For children already registered for their birth, enrol for Baby Bonus benefits at https://www.life.gov.sg/services/baby-bonus

This single touchpoint at LifeSG brings greater convenience to you with improved form-filling experience that is tailored to your profile and allows you to access a comprehensive range of child-related services at LifeSG beyond Baby Bonus.

New Child Savings Account (CSA)

The CSA is a joint savings account that opens automatically at the same time with the CDA when a child is enrolled for the Baby Bonus Scheme.

• With a savings account, it will be easier for the child to receive Government payouts, like the Baby Bonus cash gift, education awards and financial assistance.

Accounts-related services

• Parents can now go directly to the banks eservices to submit requests to (i) change bank, (ii) change CDA trustee and CSA joint account holder, and (iii) update personal details for the CDA/CSA.

• You can expect faster response time for your requests.

• Please approach your CDA bank (DBS/POSB, OCBC, UOB) for more information.
