Our company had reported our employees’ Noise Induced Deafness (NID) diagnosis to MOM last year. Since the diagnosis has not changed at this year’s annual medical examination, do I need to report these employees’ NID to MOM again?

If there is no significant worsening of the hearing thresholds compared to the previous year, and there is no change of the diagnosis (e.g. it is still a case of NID Early), you do not need to report it to us again. You should keep a copy of the original report for verification purposes.

You should submit a report if:

  • You have not reported the case to us previously.
  • The case of NID shows significant worsening or deterioration of the hearing thresholds compared to previous year.
  • The case of NID has progressed to an advanced NID.
