If I resign while I'm on shared parental leave, can I use the leave period to offset my notice period?

No, you cannot use your shared parental leave to shorten your notice period.

However, you can use your shared parental leave during the notice period, and the time you are on shared parental leave will count towards serving your notice period.

Your remaining shared parental leave will be forfeited once you leave your job.
