When and how can I register for my additional booster dose?

Persons aged 5 years and above should complete three mRNA or Novavax/Nuvaxovid doses, or four Sinovac-CoronaVac doses to achieve minimum protection.

Persons Aged 60 Years and Above, Medically Vulnerable, Residents of Aged Care Facilities

After achieving minimum protection, medically vulnerable persons and individuals aged 60 years and above should receive an additional booster dose around one year from their last dose. The updated bivalent vaccines are recommended for this. Both Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty bivalent vaccine or the Moderna/Spikevax bivalent vaccine are available in Joint Testing and Vaccination Centres (JTVCs). Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty bivalent vaccine is also available in selected polyclinics and participating Public Health Preparedness Clinics (PHPCs). All eligible individuals aged 60 and above will be invited to receive their bivalent vaccine dose around one year after their last dose. An SMS with a personalised booking link will be sent to the mobile number that you had registered for your previous COVID-19 vaccinations, and you may book an appointment at the vaccination sites offering the bivalent vaccines via the personalised booking link provided.

Persons Aged Between 12 to 59 Years

Persons aged 12 to 59 years who are healthy have a lower risk of severe disease. Nevertheless, an additional booster dose around one year after their last dose will be offered to those who are eligible and keen to receive one more booster dose to enhance protection. They may walk into any JTVC to receive their bivalent vaccine dose.

Persons aged 5 to 11 years are not recommended nor eligible to receive additional booster doses beyond what is required for Minimum Protection.

Persons aged 6 months to 4 years are not recommended nor eligible for additional doses beyond 2 doses of Moderna/Spikevax or 3 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty at this time.
