Companies can have one director. Does this director have to be a Singaporean/PR/Employment Pass holder?
Yes, every company must continue to have at least one director who is ordinarily resident in Singapore.
This is to ensure that there is someone in Singapore who is accountable to the company's stakeholders.
In addition, the director must be at least 18 years old and not an undischarged bankrupt.
He must also not have been convicted of any offences involving fraud or dishonesty in the last 5 years.
Please refer to the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority's website (https://www.acra.gov.sg ) for details.
