Will my son be able to install software in the chromebook?
Your son can only install selected apps for their learning through the Chrome Web Store during school hours. Essential apps will be "pushed down" to users from the school so that they can be more productive in their learning. Your son can ask for learning sites and apps to be whitelisted on the chromebook through the school's ICT department.
